SEVENTEEN members Mingyu, Seungkwan and DINO are preparing to temporarily step away from group activities as they begin their respective military service later this year.
PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed that MINGYU will begin his military service on September 10, 2026, carrying out alternative service. There will be no official event marking the start of his service, and fans have been asked not to visit his place of service.
Seungkwan and DINO will follow on October 26, 2026, with both members set to enlist in the Army and serve in the military band. The agency has similarly asked fans not to visit the enlistment site, out of consideration for the other recruits and their families.
Before stepping away, Mingyu, Seungkwan and DINO will continue with their scheduled official activities. During their absence from SEVENTEEN’s group activities, CARATs will also be able to see the members through content prepared in advance.
The three join the growing list of SEVENTEEN members fulfilling their military duties, marking another temporary shift for the group as they continue navigating this chapter of their career.
