Dior Summer 2027 Finds Freedom in Lightness

For Summer 2027, Dior looks lighter on its feet.

Jonathan Anderson builds the collection around movement, allowing fabric to respond to the body rather than simply hold its shape. Traditional tailoring softens, while lace, silk mousseline and organza move between transparency and opacity. There is volume throughout, but very little feels heavy.

Ideas from Autumn/Winter 2026-2027 return with a different attitude. Floral forms, cropped proportions and iridescent surfaces are loosened for summer. Pleats expand as models walk, textured layers flutter against the body and tailoring feels less controlled. The result is romantic, but never overly delicate.

Dior returned to Le Bassin Octagonal at the Jardin des Tuileries for the show. Camphor trees were placed within the pond, bringing greenery into the setting and creating a quiet backdrop for a collection so focused on air and movement. The trees, sourced from an Italian nursery, are set to be replanted in the Tuileries after the show.

Jisoo, Wonyoung and Hyunjin at Dior

Beyond the runway, Dior brought a major K-pop presence to Paris.

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo wore a crisp white blouse with a long neck tie, paired with a sculptural pale-pink mini skirt. Soft layers created volume through the skirt, while a black ribbon tied into her sleek ponytail added contrast. Delicate heels with floral detailing completed the look.

IVE’s Jang Wonyoung mixed white lace with sheer black layers. Her sleeveless lace top was paired with a black lace midi skirt, with floral and feather-like detailing falling asymmetrically along one side. A sparkling choker, metallic bow-detail heels and a pale-pink Dior bag finished the styling.

Stray Kids’ Hyunjin went in a more relaxed direction. An oversized cream jacket with a contrasting black shawl-style collar was layered over a clean white shirt and slim black trousers. Dark boots grounded the look, while the oversized proportions kept the styling away from traditional formalwear.

Across the runway and front row, Dior Summer 2027 makes its point without weighing itself down. Pleats open, textures flutter, tailoring relaxes and dresses shift with every step. Lightness here is not simply about delicate fabrics, it comes from giving the clothes enough freedom to move.
