Pelagia Kolotouros captures the balances between motion and stillness

At Paris Fashion Week, Lacoste presented its Spring Summer 2026 collection under the creative direction of Pelagia Kolotouros. The show titled The Locker Room, took place at the historic Hall Eiffel at Lycée Carnot. The space was transformed into a modern locker room, complete with while tiles, benches, neatly folded towels. The concept was simple but powerful, representing the quiet
moments of reflection that come after performance.

Kolotouros explored the brand’s long connection with sport through a more human perspective. The collection was built around movement and rest, showing what happens when the intensity fades and calm takes over. It was not about competition, but about ease, honesty, and the beauty of transition.

The silhouettes carried a relaxed structure. Sheer polo tops were styled with lightweight outerwear, and silk windbreakers were paired with tailored trousers. Technical fabrics were mixed with cotton, satin, and mesh, creating contrast while maintaining flow.
Each look was designed to feel effortless yet refined. The sense of motion was present throughout the collection, as if each garment carried its own quiet rhythm.

The colour palette reflected the tone of the show. White, beige, sand, and green were used as soft layers of neutrality, while flashes of red and citrus yellow brought life to the set. The iconic crocodile appeared subtly, embroidered in tonal threads instead of the usual bold green, keeping the focus on texture and form. Accessories completed the narrative: bags, sleek tennis shoes, and toweltextured carry pieces that hinted at the brand’s athletic roots.

In the front row, EXO’s KAI captured attention with a calm and polished look that reflected the brand’s new identity. He wore a deep navy tailored suit with a structured double-breasted jacket
and wide-leg trousers. The fit was precise but relaxed, showing both strength and ease. His styling stayed minimal, letting the cut and detail of the outfit speak of itself. The ensemble matched
the atmosphere of the collection – quietly confident, refined, and grounded.
The presentation moved with subtle energy. Models walked slowly through the tiled space under soft lighting, their steps echoing against the stillness. The result was more than a runway; it
was a meditation on rhythm and balance.

Lacoste SS26 felt personal. It was not a loud reinvention, but a thoughtful step forward. Kolotouros invited everyone to see elegance in simplicity and grace in rest. The brand’s sporting past
found new meaning in softness and intention. Pelagia Kolotouros reminded us that strength is not only found in motion.

It can exist in quiet spaces, in the pause between action and reflection.
