French leather goods house Polène has opened its Singapore boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, bringing its signature bags and latest designs closer to shoppers in Singapore.
Located on Basement 2, the boutique gives visitors the chance to discover Polène’s leather goods in person, from familiar favourites such as the Numéro Dix, Numéro Neuf Mini, Cyme and Mokki to newer additions from the house.
From Paris to Singapore
Founded in Paris in 2016 by siblings Antoine, Mathieu and Elsa Mothay, Polène focuses on leather goods with an emphasis on craftsmanship, construction and distinctive silhouettes.
The brand works with artisans in Ubrique, Spain, a region with a long history of leather craftsmanship, with its leathers sourced from Italy and Spain.
Rather than relying on prominent logos, Polène has built a recognisable look through shape and construction. Curved lines, folds and sculptural details run through many of its collections, giving each bag its own character while keeping the overall look understated.
The Numéro Neuf Mini
Among Polène’s most recognisable designs is the Numéro Neuf Mini, a smaller take on the house’s Numéro Neuf.
Its rounded, softly gathered shape is created through folds in the leather, giving the bag its distinctive sculptural finish. Compact without losing the character of the original design, the Numéro Neuf Mini works easily with both relaxed and more polished looks.
The Numéro Neuf Mini was also featured in NNT MODE’s June issue as part of our Summer Soft Power Dressing fashion edit, where we selected the bag for its understated shape and its ability to work naturally into a refined summer wardrobe.
It is a piece that reflects much of what draws us to Polène: minimal branding, a recognisable silhouette and a design that does not need to compete with the rest of an outfit.
Meet the latest SHULDO
Joining Polène’s current line-up is the SHULDO, one of the newer designs from the Parisian house.
The silhouette continues Polène’s focus on leather construction and sculptural form, while offering something different from the softer curves of the Numéro Neuf collection and the saddle-inspired Numéro Dix.
Available in several grained leather colourways, the SHULDO adds another option for those drawn to Polène’s understated approach to handbags.
Inside Polène Singapore
For its Singapore boutique, Polène brings elements of its French identity together with details inspired by the city.
Walnut fixtures run throughout the space, while a handwoven full-grain leather ceiling brings leather into the interior itself. References to Singapore’s maritime heritage have also been incorporated into the boutique.
Another feature is the “Craft at Work” display, where visitors can get a closer look at traditional leather die-cutting and some of the craftsmanship involved in creating leather goods.
The physical boutique also gives shoppers something an online store cannot: the opportunity to try the bags, compare sizes and see how different silhouettes sit when carried.
What you can find

Alongside newer pieces, shoppers can explore several of Polène’s familiar designs.
The Numéro Dix brings a curved, saddle-inspired shape, while the Numéro Neuf Mini offers the signature gathered construction of the Numéro Neuf in a more compact size. The Cyme provides a roomier everyday tote, while the Mokki stands out with its folded construction.
With newer designs such as the Shuldo joining the selection, the boutique brings together both established Polène favourites and more recent additions.
