IU is preparing to return with new music, one year after the release of her surprise digital single ‘Bye, Summer.’
At midnight on September 4, the singer shared the first teaser for her upcoming single across her official social media platforms. The short clip opens on a computer-style loading screen before revealing a completed journey to an unknown planet, offering the first look at the concept behind the release.
The date “September 10” also appears within the teaser, adding another detail to the visual while further information about the new single remains under wraps.
The release marks IU’s first new music in a year, following ‘Bye, Summer,’ which arrived on September 10, 2025.
IU’s new single is set to be released on September 9, 2026 at 6 PM KST.
